At Arc Herkimer, our mission is to empower people with disabilities and enrich lives throughout our community. We’re seeking a passionate Grant Writer & Fund Raising Associate to help drive that mission forward by securing critical funding and building strong relationships with donors and community partners.
You’ll provide leadership, strategic planning and management for all phases of fund development and fund raising for Arc Herkimer programs and services. In this role, you will:
Lead major gifts programs, annual appeals, and fundraising campaigns
Research and identify grant opportunities that align with our mission
Write persuasive proposals and engaging progress reports
Plan both short- and long-term fundraising strategies
Build and maintain strong donor and funder relationships
Work with our Budget Control Manager to ensure financial accuracy
Support capital campaigns and assist with fundraising events
Ensure timely thank-you letters, reporting, and compliance
Represent Arc Herkimer in the community and help share our story
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field required (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in fund development, with at least three (3) years of progressive management experience.
Preferred: Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
Salary:
Starting at $70,000 a year Full time; exempt
